Welcome

Welcome to the New Parklands Residents Association website. This site has been set up to make sure that Parklands residents know what the association is doing and can have their say on what they want from their association.

History

The association was set up originally in 2002 to organise building the children's play park. Maresfield Parish Council leased the land for the playground from Wealden District Council and that then allowed the NPRA to start fundraising. After a great deal of hard work and fundraising the previous Residents Association committee managed to secure £10 000 from the Parish Council and £3 000 from Sussex Police, which paid for the playground equipment. The Association organised the installation of the litter bins as well as dog fouling and traffic signs. The committee also organised Easter egg hunts, summer BBQs and other fundraising events.

Committee

The committee is made up of volunteers who freely give up their own time to attend monthly meetings and perform their duties. The current committee members are:- Please don't hesitate to let us know of any suggestions for projects or issues that we can get involved in. Volunteers to help are also always welcome.
