Fundraising
New Parklands Residents Association gets funds from a number of sources including community based fund raising and donations. If you would like to donate or have a fund raising idea please contact a member of the committee. We have raised over £20 000.00 to date including £500.00 from our own fund-raising events such as the Maresfield Fete and our Parklands Jumble Sale - many thanks to all those involved in organising those very successful events. We are also in the 2nd stage of raising £50 000.00 of Lottery money for the Play Area improvements from Changing Spaces.
Funds that we have recently had approved are:

Awards for All
- £5185.00 towards early years playground equipment as part of the Play Area development.
- £4406.00 towards the BMX track, football pitch improvements, community notice board and community activities.
-

Grass Roots
- £3000.00 for early years play equipment and safety matting.
-

Police Property Fund
£500.00 for general project work.Police Safer Neighbourhoods Scheme
£2500.00 for bike track and kick-about area improvements.-
Wealden District Council Community Environmental Awards
£5100.00 for community notice boards and new fence and gates for play area.
Fund raising applications submitted and awaiting approval are:
- Tesco Community Foundation - £4000.00
- Changing Spaces - £50 000.00
Obviously we don't expect to receive all of the funding shown above but hope to get the bulk of it. There is money available for the type of projects we are planning but it takes a lot of hard work and painstaking form filling to get it. The committee members involved in the fund raising give up an enormous amount of time to do it and deserve our appreciation.
